Leaving Amazon
Last August, a series of personal events led me to leave my job with Amazon. At that point, I had been working at the company for over 11 years, and it left me with complex feelings.
Through my tenure at Amazon, I worked with many amazing folks, engineers, managers, TPMs, scientists, and the experience completely changed my views.
I recall when I joined in 2014, my passions and interests were centered around game programming and web applications. This slowly turned into distributed systems, forecasting and numerical modeling, some of the last problems I worked on at the company.
It took me a bit to digest the change and settle down, I took this as more of a sabbatical, and used the time to sort out my family and personal wellbeing, I think like many work/life balance is a delicate thing and sometimes an extended break is needed.
As a new year resolution I put myself an objective of writing more, blogging a bit about the things I like to experiment with as a creative outlet.
